In the course of one working day, the maximum daily drawdown on the account (which consists of the account’s current result of opened positions and the result of positions closed on the given day) is calculated based on the balance or equity, whichever is greater when the day changes at 10pm UTC, minus the daily loss amount for the account size. The daily loss amount is calculated based on the initial account size, not the current balance or equity. The Daily drawdown is 3% for Instant, 1-Step, and Phoenix; 4% for Instant Pro; and 4% or 5% for 2-Step, depending on the add-on.

The maximum total drawdown is 5% trailing of the initial balance for Instant; 8% trailing for Instant Pro; 6% static for 1-Step and Phoenix; and 8% or 10% static for 2-Step, depending on the add-on. Therefore, for 2-Step for example, the equity of the account must not fall below 90% of the initial account balance both for open and closed positions, including commissions and swaps.

Please note that customers are unable to utilize their total available drawdown during a single day of trading. Therefore, customers cannot go over the 5% daily drawdown within 24 hours of trading, and the 10% max drawdown is only applied to multiple trading days.

Profit Target is the amount of profit traders must achieve in a specific phase of the challenge to graduate to the next phase of the challenge. Importantly, the profit target is calculated based on closed positions, meaning it doesn’t include floating/pending positions.

Profit Target varies across challenges and phases, with profit target set to 10% for Phoenix, 1-Step and 2-Step Phase 2 and 5% for 2-Step Phase 1.

We set the minimum profitable days across all challenges to 3 days. This means traders must trade for at least 3 days in each phase (excluding Instant Funding) in order to pass a given challenge. Each trading day must achieve a profit of 0.5% to qualify as a profitable trading day.

Inactivity for all accounts is set to 30 calendar days. Therefore, a trader must place a single trade within a 30 calendar day period to avoid the inactivity rule going into effect, which would result in their account being automatically breached. There are no exceptions to this rule.
